McElyea, Austin obituary(April 3, 1997 – May 18, 2014)

Austin Brett McElyea, age 17, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was born on April 3, 1997 in St. George, Utah to Brett David McElyea and Kimberly Ann Zeidler.

Austin attended Snow Canyon High School and enjoyed his membership in the Snow Canyon FFA. Austin was full of energy, kindness, and enjoyed being around people. Austin loved riding his horse and motorcycles. He looked forward to becoming a welder and carpenter. Austin is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was loved by so many people and left memories that will last forever.

Austin is survived by parents, Kim (Craig) Lundin and HoneyDawn McElyea; family members, Tishanne (Jaime) Stout, Taisha (J.J.) Esplin, Janessa McElyea, Hadlee McElyea, Halle Lundin; brother, Taz Lundin; grandparents, Bart (Crystal) McElyea, Monte (Karen) Bruin, Harry (Lou Jean) Lundin, Don Zeidler; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Brett McElyea and grandma, Shirley Craney.

Funeral Services

  • Funeral services will be Friday, May 23, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Santa Clara 10th Ward Chapel, 630 Riesling Ave., Santa Clara, UT.
  • Visitations will be held Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and prior to the services from 8:30-9:30 a.m., both held at the church.
  • Interment will take place in the Tonaquint Cemetery, St. George, UT.
