GARFIELD COUNTY – A helicopter belonging to the U.S. Department of Agriculture crashed in the southeast area of Garfield County early Tuesday afternoon, according to a statement from the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office.
Two men, a 30-year-old and 60-year-old, were involved in the crash and both were injured. The 60-year-old man was flown to the hospital via medical helicopter for treatment.
The cause of the crash is currently unknown and is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration. No additional information has been released as of Wednesday morning.
