ST. GEORGE — A man was taken to the hospital Wednesday after running into a boulder on Dixie Drive.
A man veered off the road and drove into a boulder on Dixie Drive Wednesday at 12:08 p.m., St. George Police Sgt. Sam Despain said. The investigation is ongoing as to why he drove off the road. The man was traveling north on Dixie Drive and crashed near 760 South.
The green Mazda Miata that the man was driving was towed and he was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
During the crash, a gas line broke and Questar Gas responded to control the area, Despain said. There is no evacuation for the line break and the area is safe, Despain said. Police are waiting for Questar for final status reports.
The investigation is ongoing regarding causes, citations and other factors.
