ST. GEORGE — A car veered off the road went over the embankment and came to rest near the bike trail at about 500 West Red Hills Parkway on Wednesday at 12:40 p.m.
The gray Hyundai Accent was traveling southbound on Red Hills Parkway when the woman driver took her eyes off the road for a short time and her car veered off the side of the road, hit a speed limit sign and slid sideways off the embankment, St. George Police Officer Chad Pectol said.
The woman had minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital. A small dog was also in the car and was not injured, Pectol said.
The St. George Fire Department also responded to the scene. The car was towed from from the area.
No citations have been issued pending further investigation, Pectol said.

YUP!!!!! This issue of texting is getting way out of hand!

Why is it so hard to keep a vehicle on the road and on all 4 wheels?? It’s just not that difficult !
