Jordan Strebeck

(April 15, 1934 – February 23, 2014)

Jordan Strebeck, 79, of Dammeron Valley, UT passed on to the next life on Sunday, February 23, 2014 after a short illness.  He was born on April 15, 1934 in Phoenix, Arizona as the only child to Preston Orleanor Strebeck and Olive Irene Muir.

He married his sweetheart Wanda Mae Cluff-Jones in the Mesa AZ LDS Temple.  She died in 2002, just short of their 46 year anniversary.  They lived most of their lives in Phoenix and Gilbert Arizona and are the parents of 4 children: Preston Jay (Janet), Alan Wayne (Linda), David Mark, who died in 2010 (Janet M.), and Amy Lynn (Reed Flake).   In November 2004 Jordan married Betty Ann Bingham. They moved to Dammeron Valley UT in 2008 and together established a life and wonderful friendships there.

As a passionate genealogist, Jordan served in the LDS Family History Center for over 15 years and loved helping people connect with their ancestors.

Jordan was really talented with all things mechanical and could fix almost anything and his workshop was as well organized and outfitted as a hardware store.   He also loved socializing with his friends, some of whom he’s been friends with since High School, but he may best be remembered for his numerous random acts of kindness which will endlessly continue to ripple outwards.

Jordan is loved and will be missed by the great many who call him Dad, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa or friend.
