ARIZONA STRIP — Three hikers from Utah were reported missing Monday morning in the Mount Dellenbaugh area of the Arizona Strip. After searching from late morning through the afternoon, rescue units were deployed and found the hikers in good health in the Twin Creek Canyon area later Monday afternoon.
At about 10 a.m. Monday, Mohave County Search and Rescue units responded to a call that three hikers didn’t return from what was reportedly planned as a day trip, according to a statement from the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office. The reporting party said that the hikers were supposed to return home Sunday night but did not, according to the statement.
The missing hikers were identified as Kyley McCall, 43, Kody Townsend, 23, and Sam Townsend, 20, all from Utah.
Mohave County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue units along with the Department of Public Safety Flagstaff Air Rescue Ranger responded to the Mount Dellenbaugh area.
Later Monday afternoon, all three missing hikers were located and were later reunited with family members.
