ST. GEORGE — A semitrailer traveling southbound on Interstate 15 flipped onto its side at about 8 a.m. near the Ranch exit at mile marker 35, Friday. There were also some secondary accidents in that vicinity.

Traffic was blocked in the southbound lanes for some time and, as of 9:45 a.m. Friday, one lane was opened up for southbound traffic, Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce said.

The semi accident did not involve any other vehicles and there were no reported injuries. There was one woman transported to the hospital that was involved in one of the secondary accidents. The woman was transported as a precaution because she was pregnant, Royce said.
