ST. GEORGE — Pine View High School junior, Sally Jane Lawlor, 17, of St. George went missing on Wednesday, now reported as a runaway juvenile to the St. George Police Department.
Sally Jane Lawlor has been missing since Wednesday at 4 a.m., her mother, Melody Lawlor, said.
She was last seen captured on a security camera at the McDonalds restaurant in St. George as she was boarding a Greyhound bus going to Denver, Colo.
Description
- Hair: Shoulder length brown hair which is short on the left side and longer on the right side of her head
- Height and weight: 5 feet 4 inches tall, 103 pounds with a petite build
- Eyes: Blue eyes
- Facial features: Acne on her forehead and her top left middle tooth protrudes
- Clothing: She was last seen wearing red plaid stretch pants, an oversized gray sweatshirt and black shoes. She sometimes wears dark blue large rim plastic frame prescription eyeglasses. She may be wearing a Pine View High class ring. She may be carrying a backpack and a duffle bag.
Sally Jane Lawlor may be going to meet a man that she met last year who may now live in New York and could have sent her money, Melody Lawlor said.
She also been listed on the National Crime Information Center database, St. George Police School Resource Officer Ben Tufuga said, so if she comes in contact with any law enforcement officer they will be aware she has been reported missing.

Two missing teenagers in the same week…? Saint George is starting to manifest how, “Big City”, it’s getting. People, be vigilant. Everyday, in everything you do. I do hope she and the other girl are both found safe and healthy.

They aren’t “missing,” they are runaways. They are spoiled children who want what they want, when they want it and they are not about to let anyone tell them any different. They have been led to believe they can have their hearts desire and be on their own without thinking about the consequences of their choices. Sadly, the odds are they will end up in some abusive relationship with “Mr. Wonderful” and probably end up pregnant and maybe even addicted to some sort of substance. Hopefully the parents will stop ringing their hands and get some training on how to handle this issue when their wayward teen comes home after seeing the grass wasn’t really as green as they thought.
Betty, these personal attacks are highly inappropriate. Now is not a good time for making assumptions and casting blame. I think you need to be a bit more sensitive to these people in crisis.

I actually know one of these families of the missing teens and while I definitely agree that running away is no way to handle a situation, I don’t agree with your analysis of the case. Do you know these families? Do you know the teens? Have you any way to prove that they are “spoiled children who want what they want when they want it and are not about to let anyone tell them any different”? It is a very sad and troubling situation, but you do not know what life is like at home for these families and it is not your place to tell the world how poorly raised these kids were. If you have children, I pray they all stay safely at home, lest anyone come around telling everyone how spoiled your children are and that you’ve done a poor job of raising them. I know the parents of these teens must be incredibly sad and worried right now, and as a community, I would dare say it is not our job to critique their parenting skills, but to keep an eye out and pray their kids will make it back home.
Can you give us helpful advice on how to find her, not say things that aren’t true? You don’t know her personally, I do. She wouldn’t do something like that.
Don’t pretend you know these people. Sally lawlor is the most darling girl. She’s the most timid loving person I have ever met. Don’t you dare judge someone you know nothing about!! It’s so sad to see people with such a negative outlook on this world. I hope whatever bad experiences have gotten you to this point haven’t damaged you permanently. You, as well as sally will be in my prayers.
Woah i know sally. She was never selfish. Never mean rude or ruthless. Sally didnt do this because she wanted to hurt people ahe just wants what ever other teenager dose. To be happy. So do not say anything about sally unless you personally knew her.
Betty, please post your personal info so that we can evaluate your personal circumstances and have a discussion about it. All you know about this family is that the daughter ran away. Period. And yes, runaways are in fact “missing”, otherwise the parents would know where they are. Moron.

As a person who was once teen in St. George who left town I pray this girl is found safe as I know personally the dangers out there for a young girl from the small town such as St. George. I pray her parents find her before she stumbles into the things I once did. Its a cold world and people are not all good intentions. Definatly praying for her safe return and comfort for the worried parents.
I just saw on the Facebook page that was set up to help find her that she has been found and she is safe.
I’m glad she was found. People open your eyes. She ran away. She got on a bus by herself. Now, on the other end, did the man coerce a minor to runaway? Are there charges pending for the man she ran to?
