The red passenger vehicle struck the driver side of the white pickup truck as it was making a left hand turn, St. George Police Sgt. Jeff Bahlmann said.

The red car was occupied only by its driver, the white pickup truck by its driver and one passenger. No injuries were reported at the scene.

The police officer arrived at the scene at 6:03 p.m., Bahlmann said. There were no witnesses, he said, weather and other possible contributing causes did not appear to be factors in the incident.

The driver of the red vehicle was cited at the scene for failure to yield.

Ed. note: St. George Communications Center identified the red passenger vehicle as a Ford Taurus. The city where it happened was St. George, not Washington, correction made.

I don’t like hearing of crashes where people are not paying attention or where they feel they don’t need to yield. Hubby had the right of way just a few mins ago when someone at the stop sign on Brigham rd didn’t yield to him. He hit the brakes hard and slid sideways just to avoid them. They other guy looked at hubby like it was my hubby’s fault. HELLO???
