SALT LAKE CITY — Pine View and Desert Hills staged an epic battle in Salt Lake City Friday night for the 3AA State Championship with the Thunder coming away with a 27-21 win on the last play of the game. St. George News photographer Robert Hoppie was there to capture the key moments. Here are some of his favorite shots from the game:

I wish we could’ve seen more of the PV seniors play, they’re the ones that got PV there. But that’s how the PV coaches are, winning isn’t always the goal in their politics. Good job DHills you knew their weakness and picked it 4 times, your coaches deserve the title.
All parents of kids that don’t play say that. All parents think their kid is the best, but unfortunately that isn’t always the case!!! You could have moved or open enrolled but don’t blame the coaches!

Not at pine view. It is definitely who you know not who is the best. It has been that way for the last 6 years or so that I have been watching them.
