ST. GEORGE – Two Cedar City residents were arrested in a prostitution sting in St. George on Friday night.
The St. George Police Department and the Fraudulent Identity and Securities Threats unit conducted an undercover vice operation and arrested the two men, St. George Police Sgt. Sam Despain said.
With help from a confidential informant and a decoy who made arrangements with the suspects, Hilal Hussain Alqahtani, 29, and Abdulrahman Tariq Alhurayz, 29, were booked into Washington County’s Purgatory Correctional Facility on Nov. 1, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Friday.
Alhurayz and Alqahtani were each charged with a class-B misdemeanor for patronizing a prostitute. Alqahtani was also charged with another class-B misdemeanor for aiding prostitution. Aiding prostitution means the perpetrator was involved in soliciting the prostitute.
The SGPD FIST unit handles issues such as prostitution, sex trafficking, identity theft, gangs and terrorism in Southern Utah.

This article seems short on facts. Why are these two locked up for a misdemeanor?
No victim, no crime. I’d vote to acquit if I was called for jury duty.
Pervert, disease spreading crime…
Perhaps the way you do it….
Haha na I’m clean boss… But it sounds like you’ve got it down to an art..
What a waste of tax dollars and public resources.
