ST. GEORGE – The Washington County Task Force arrested two St. George men on counts of drug distribution in two unrelated incidents.
Early Wednesday morning, the task force was preparing to execute a search warrant at a residence around 1500 West 1550 North in St. George, St. George Police Capt. Kyle Whitehead said. There were specific names associated with the warrant which included Nicholas Lee Miller, 28, of St. George.
The task force observed Miller get into a vehicle and leave the residence. Whitehead said members of the task force conducted a traffic stop and detained the man.
The residence associated with the warrant was searched and substances alleged to be heroin and methamphetamine were discovered, along with supposed drug paraphernalia.
Miller was charged with two third-degree felonies for drug possession and class-B misdemeanor for drug paraphernalia. He also faces a second-degree felony for the distribution of heroin stemming from a controlled buy. Bail currently stands at $20,389.
On Tuesday, the task force arrested Joshua Gideon Wilson, on six counts of felony drug distribution for marijuana and methamphetamine – three second-degree and three third-degree felonies. Whitehead said the charges stemmed from various arranged buys involving Wilson.
When Wilson was arrested, he was also found to be in possession of a substances alleged to be marijuana and associated paraphernalia, and charged with related misdemeanor offenses. Bail currently stands at $49,850.
Both men have been booked into the Purgatory Correctional Facility.
Persons charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.
