IRON COUNTY – A marijuana grow containing approximately 2,000 plants was destroyed Monday by the Iron County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies.
The Iron County Sheriff’s Office released a brief statement Monday evening that the grow was located in the “Right Hand Canyon-area of Cedar Mountain.” The Sheriff’s Office became aware of the grow through information gained from a traffic stop made by the Utah Highway Patrol, the statement said.
In July 2012 the Sheriff’s Office and other agencies removed 4,000 marijuana plants found near the Pinto area.
Additional information will be posted as it becomes available from the Iron County Sheriff’s Office.

Let’s get us some more illegals. There is a lot of land to grow pot on in Utah. Just one more benefit we offer to illegals and those families that we support in even a better fashion than our veterans.
Thanks Chamber of Commerce, we really do need these folks to plant and harvest ,oh so many things like pot, babies and oh yes lettuce.
Although illegally grown, instead of burning it, next time collect it then sell it for medical research to a neighboring state such as WA, OR, CA, CO, AZ, NV or NM. Then the juice would be worth the squeeze and we all win. UTAH will be next to legalize medical Marijuana. You can see the pattern, right.
