I would like to see a story on the Iron County results as soon as they are available. The race for mayor there has some interesting candidates.
It’s very disturbing (again) to have such a small percentage of people vote in a primary election. 86% of the registered voters in STG decided it wasn’t worth it to go out and vote. They decided it was ok for 14% to go and decide for them. I consider it my “Duty” to vote and have done so for over 30 yrs every single chance I get. If you do not vote in a primary or general election, you need to excuse yourself from any and all political conversations. This includes: on any comment board, chat rooms or facebook, with friends, at work around the water cooler, and so on. You have forfeited your right to complain or comment due to your failure to be involved in the process. I don’t want to hear any apathetic excuses such as it doesn’t change anything, or what’s the point, or any of the other lame excuses out there. Sometimes I feel that STG has caring people who want to be involved, and then all that changes when only 14% have enough intellectual ambition to actually go and vote. Sheeesh. You non voting 86% make me wanna puke!
Its striking to see Mr. Nisson place so highly in LaVerkin city council primaries. You would think that capturing a respectable 24% in his race in Washington would satisfy. How embarrassing for a good ol’ boy.
