NEW HARMONY – The Utah Highway Patrol responded to a rollover on southbound Interstate 15 Tuesday morning.
UHP Cpl. Todd Johnson said the rollover was reported shortly after 9 a.m., Tuesday, and occurred on southbound I-15 at mile post 38 near New Harmony. The car was described as traveling at a high rate of speed when it veered off the road and rolled once, ending upside down on its top.
The driver, who sustained minor cuts and bruises, was determined to be intoxicated and given a DUI citation, Johnson said. The driver was also taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
