UPDATE – Aug. 3, 2013 – According to a notice issued by the Division of Juvenile Justice Services, search and rescue efforts continue in the Ashley National Forest for 14 year-old Andre Duran. Utah offficials are, again, requesting the public’s assistance in locating him. It is possible that Duran may be in Wyoming, thus, officials and media there have been notified.
VERNAL– Utah Division of Juvenile Justice Services is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 14-year-old Andre Duran.
Duran was last seen Thursday at approximately 9 a.m. at a campsite in the Uintah Mountains. Duran was with a group of youth on a supervised camping trip.

- Caucasian male
- 14 years old
- 5’6”
- 130 pounds
- Light brown hair, short in length
- Hazel eyes
- Last seen wearing long pants, t-shirt, and socks
Daggett County Sheriff’s Office began search and rescue efforts on Aug. 1 around noon. The Sheriff’s Office is continuing efforts today via horseback, foot and airplane.
Due to the limited belongings in Duran’s possession, and the fact that he is a minor in unknown territory, there is great concern for his safety.
