ST. GEORGE –The Southern Utah Songwriters Association has invited guitarist, songwriter and clinician Janet Robin to present both a workshop and performance at Dixie State University tonight.
The program will be held at 7 p.m. tonight at the Eccles Fine Arts Center on the DSU campus (doors open at 6:30). Robin will present her clinic and share her own music afterward. Tickets cost $20 and can be purchased at the door or online.
Robin, 47, is a former featured touring member of the Lindsey Buckingham Band, Meredith Brooks Band and Air Supply. She was named as one of the top 10 female guitarists in the nation by “Guitar Magazine.”
In addition to being an artist, she is also a respected clinician for Turner-Renaissance Guitars and Line 6 and is endorsed by Taylor Guitars, Martin Guitars, Fender Guitars, Turner-Renaissance, Seymour Duncan, Audix and Alfred Publishing, among others.
The program is hosted by the Southern Utah Songwriters Association and is sponsored primarily by Dave Amodt of Outwest Air, along with Community Radio KTIM 95.3 FM and Marriott Hotels.
Robin will also perform at The Barn in Parowan on Friday and at George’s Corner Restaurant in St. George on Saturday.
