Vehicle collides with semi on Bluff Street, driver cited for running light

ST. GEORGE - A vehicle collided with a semi Tuesday morning at the intersection of Bluff Street and Black Ridge Drive after running a red light.

The vehicle was traveling southbound through the intersection at approximately 11:15 a.m. and ran the red light, colliding with the semi’s trailer.

The semi sustained little damage to its tire area, while the vehicle was heavily damaged and had to be removed from the scene by tow truck. No injuries were reported.

Officer Derek Lewis, public information officer for the St. George Police Department, said that the driver of the vehicle was issued a citation for failing to stop at the light.
