CEDAR CITY – At 2:17 p.m. yesterday, the Cedar City Public Safety Dispatch Center received a third party 911 call reporting that an adult woman had been assaulted by an unknown man.
The incident occurred in the Harmony Heights subdivision, located northwest of Kanarraville in unincorporated Iron County.
According to a statement issued by the Iron County Sheriff’s Office, the woman was showing a man a building lot in the Harmony Heights subdivision when she was suddenly attacked by him without warning. The suspect produced a weapon during the assault, and the victim was eventually able to break free and run to a home about a half mile away to obtain help.
It appears at this time robbery and/or sexual assault was the motive behind the attack, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office is following up on several leads and working very hard to bring this suspect to justice.

White male, mid-30s, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 160 pounds, of stocky build with muscular, wide shoulders and a square jaw, short brown hair, blue eyes and a deep voice. He was wearing blue jeans, a grey v-neck shirt with thin black stripes, a thin windbreaker-type jacket, thin cotton knit gloves on his hands.

2010 White Subaru Outback with California plates. The vehicle has f ront end damage with orange paint transfer on the front of the vehicle, black rocker panels below the doors , black luggage rack and tinted rear windows.
