Keeping kids safe at school; presentation for parents, community

ST. GEORGE – Parents and all community members are invited to a free presentation on keeping kids safe at school this coming Tuesday.

Keeping St. George a safe community for families is of the utmost importance to the City of St. George, and school safety has always been a priority. Join the St. George Police Department, Washington County School District, Mayor Dan McArthur and other local elected officials for a presentation on keeping kids safe at school.

The presentation will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Dixie Center St. George. Discussion items will include general school safety, an overview of school safety plans, the purpose of safety drills and the school resource officer program. All members of the public, especially parents, are encouraged to attend.

    The mayor and other elected officials don’t need to be there so they can grandstand and serve root beer.
