ST. GEORGE – Dixie State College of Utah’s weekly “Dixie Forum: A Window on the World” convocation series will continue its historical “Unheard Voices” format for the 2013 spring semester Thursday with a presentation on Henry V.
The presentation will be delivered by Dr. Ace Pilkington, associate professor of English at DSC. Pilkington is an internationally recognized Shakespearean scholar and published author well known on campus for his courses on Shakespeare, mythology, science fiction and Western civilization. He has also served as a literary seminary director for the Utah Shakespeare Festival.
The presentation begins at noon in the Dunford Auditorium of the Browning Resource Center on the DSC campus. There is no cost to attend.
The Dixie Forum has introduced a new format for the 2013 spring semester, in which the majority of the forums will feature historical topics ranging from civil rights, military conflicts and the arts, among others. The next presentation, on Jan. 31, will feature a discussion on history and culture wars from Dr. Joel A. Lewis, DSC assistant professor of history and Dixie Forum advisor.
