ST. GEORGE – A pair of accidents in St. George sent individuals to the hospital Friday night.

The St. George Communications Center confirmed an accident occurred at 850 N. 3050 East before 7:30 p.m., Friday, and that at least one person had been transported to Intermountain Southwest Region’s Dixie Regional Medical Center.

Sgt. Albert Gilman of the St. George Police Department said the details of the accident were still being investigated, but indicated it involved a vehicle turning into traffic.

Another accident was reported to dispatch at 7:30 p.m., this time at 1200 E. St. George Blvd, on the bridge above Interstate 15.

Gilman said a passenger car was traveling westbound and making a left turn to get onto I-15 southbound when it hit an eastbound pickup truck. The impact sent the passenger car into traffic where it clipped a van, ripping off a rearview mirror.
