National parks offer free entry on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

GRAND CANYON, Ariz. – Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce CanyonNational Parks will join parks across the country in offering free entry in celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Jan. 21.

This applies to entrance fees only and does not affect fees for camping, reservations, tours or use of concessions.

Visitors to all three parks should be prepared for winter weather, driving conditions and bear in mind that road closures and temporary suspension of shuttle service may occur with little or no notice as winter weather passes through the area.

This year, additional fee-free days in all parks will occur during National Parks Week (Apr. 22 to 26,) on the birthday of the National Park Service (Aug. 25,) on National Public Lands Day (Sep. 28) and on Veterans Day weekend (Nov. 9 to 11.)
