ST. GEORGE – Police responded to a two-vehicle accident Saturday night involving an overturned Ford Bronco on Bluff Street.
Lt. James Sargent of the St. George Police Department said that at around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, a vehicle was travelling northbound on Bluff Street near Zion Motors. The driver moved the vehicle into the left turn lane, but then saw another vehicle coming toward him at from the opposite direction. In order to avoid a head-on collision, the first vehicle pulled out of the turning lane, which caused a vehicle behind it, a white Ford Bronco, to hit its rear passenger side.
The force of the impact sent the Bronco into a spin that resulted in a rollover. However, the driver was able to crawl out of the vehicle unharmed.
No injuries were reported, Sargent said. The driver of the first vehicle was cited in the incident.
