ST. GEORGE – A shooting in the community of Harrisburg, just south of the Town of Leeds, has resulted in at least one person critically injured.
A press release issued by the Hurricane City Police Department reports:
At approximately 7:50 PM this evening, Hurricane City Police Department Officers were dispatched to a report of a threatening in the area of the St. George Horizon Trailer Park. While Officers were responding, they were advised that several shots had been fired.
Officers arrived to find one male subject who had been shot. Medical personnel responded and the subject was transported via Life Flight in critical condition. Officers made contact with a male subject who allegedly was involved and is being detained for questioning.
Investigators are on scene at this time conducting the investigation.
Sgt. Brandon Buell of the Hurricane City Police Department deferred to the press release set forth above when asked for comment by St. George News at the scene of the incident.
Neighbors of the individuals involved in the incident said they did not know them very well, and indicated at least one of the men in involved had recently moved into the area.
