Same Difference community theatre’s Halloween-themed musical ‘Sleepy Hollow’

IVINS – To get the community into the spooky spirit, the Same Difference Inclusive Theatre Company will present the Halloween-themed musical “Sleepy Hollow” at Vista Charter School.

A faithful adaptation of the classic Washington Irving short story, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” the show is packed with action, excitement and dynamic music. It tells the story of timid schoolmaster Ichabod Crane (portrayed by Dustin Schlagel), who arrives in the Dutch farming village of Sleepy Hollow and becomes fixated on the beautiful Katrina Van Tasell (Rebekah Ort.) When he professes his intent to marry Katrina, her boisterous self-appointed boyfriend Brom Bones (John Grzesiak) banishes Ichabod from the village. He must then make his way through a graveyard haunted by a host of spirits, including the notorious Headless Horseman. Featuring songs such as “A Superstitious Yankee Folk” and “Ghost in the Graveyard,” this suspenseful musical is great fun for the Halloween season.
