12th annual Cedar City Pumpkin Festival offers fall-themed activities for youngsters

CEDAR CITY – Families with young children can enjoy a variety of Halloween and fall-themed activities at the 12th annual Cedar City Pumpkin Festival.

The festival will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cedar City Main Street Park and offers families an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful fall weather of Southern Utah.

Festival activities are geared towards children of preschool and elementary school ages and include pumpkin painting, cookie decorating, pumpkin bowling, face painting, pumpkin seed spitting, a bean bag toss and a special craft activity provided by the Home Depot. Hot dogs and hamburgers will also be available to snack on.

The event is sponsored by the Cedar City Women in Business.  Proceeds will go towards the Women in Business scholarship fund, which assists women pursuing university or college degrees in Iron County.
