APPLE VALLEY – Three people were ejected from a vehicle when it rolled Sunday night on state Route 59.
Officials with the Utah Highway Patrol said Tara Wendling, 23, was driving a 1995 Isuzu Rodeo eastbound on SR-59 in Apple Valley when she began to pass several vehicles ahead of her. She misjudged the distance needed to pass the vehicles and was still in the left lane after the passing lane had ended. In an attempt to avoid oncoming traffic, Wendling tried to merge back into the right lane and over-steered, losing control of the vehicle.
The Rodeo spun out sideways and went off the right edge of the highway. It then ran through a small wash and sage brush, and then rolled up a hill and through a barbed wire fence.
Wendling was ejected from the vehicle and flown directly to University Medical Center in Las Vegas via Life Flight. The extent of her injuries is unknown.
Passengers Terrance Lomahquahu, 16, and Leo Lomahquahu, 13, were also ejected from the vehicle. Terrance Lomahquahu was transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center for a head laceration and broken femur. Leo Lomahquahu was taken to DRMC then flown to Las Vegas with critical, full-body injuries.
A fourth passenger, 7-month-old Jake Stohn, remained strapped in a car seat and buckled in place. He was taken to DMRC with no apparent injuries.
According to the UHP, Wendling and the Lomahquahus were not using seatbelts at the time of the accident.

How many typos can we have in a purportedly professional news article? Who edits this?
Dear Not a MormoB – Fair point, they have all been corrected. No seriously, fair point; thank you.
Just another example of the Mormob mentality around here. Sorry, I couldn’t resist.
Hope everyone in the accident is ok.
