ST. GEORGE – The Dixie State College football staff will hold its first-ever free football clinic for women to learn football skills, techniques and the X’s and O’s of the game at Hansen Stadium on Wednesday, Aug. 8. The clinic is sponsored by Key City Insurance.
Community participants will have the opportunity to meet and visit with the Red Storm football coaching staff, along with selected DSC players.
“This is a unique opportunity for the St. George community to learn more about the game from the coaches and Dixie State players,” coach Scott Brumfield said. “Our female fans can meet some of our players and acquire key football concepts.”
Check-in and registration begins at 6:30 p.m., with the clinic starting promptly at 7 p.m. The clinic is open to all women, ages 14 or older and admission is free.
Participants should come dressed for athletic activity and encouraged to enter Hansen Stadium early.
The event is in conjunction with the athletic department’s ongoing Community Engagement program – the service-oriented arm of the collegiate experience that places DSC student-athletes into the community for philanthropic and charitable assistance.
For pre-registration or for more information, contact the Dixie State Athletics office at 435-652-7528 or the DSC Community Engagement Office at 435-879-4295.
