ST. GEROGE – A reward is being offered for information leading the identification and capture of the man who robbed the Wells Fargo bank in Bloomington last month.

Wells Fargo, in conjunction with the Utah Bankers Association, is offering up to a $10,000 reward for original information leading to the identification, apprehension, and conviction of the person or persons involved in the robbery of the Wells Fargo bank at 144 W. Brigham Road on June 21.

The bank was robbed around 2 p.m. that day by a man who walked into the bank and demanded money from a teller. He then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The man is described as a white male, 55-60 years old, approximately 5 foot 9 inches tall with a medium build. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a light green polo shirt, shorts, glasses and a black-and-red baseball cap.

No weapons were displayed during the robbery and no injuries were reported.

The FBI is assisting with the investigation.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery should contact the St. George Police Department at 627-4300 or submit a tip online at St. George Tips.

I am glad that this man has not been caught. When this story came out I expressed hope that he will be able to enjoy some of this money. I imagine that he has been able to do just that, and this pleases me. I do not feel bad for Wells Fargo. They have laundered drug money in the past and likely continue to do so.
