St. George Police searching for bank robber

ST. GEORGE – St. George Police responded to a robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank at 144 E. Brigham Road Thursday afternoon.

Capt. James Van Fleet of the St. George Police Department said that at 2 p.m., a man entered the bank, approached a teller and demanded money. The man then left the bank with an undisclosed amount.

The man is described as a white male between 55-60 years old, is approximately 5 foot 9 inches tall, has a medium build, and was wearing a light green polo shirt, shorts, wire-frame glasses and a black and red baseball cap.

No weapons were displayed during the robbery and no injuries were reported.  The FBI is on scene and is assisting with this investigation.

    There’s something about those banks on that corner that attracts robbers, wow! How many times have either the Zions or this bank been hit in the last few months?

    Wow not only do the old folks drive slow they rob banks with killer white socks and man breasts!
