ST. GEORGE - The St. George Fourth of July Celebration (fireworks) will take place on Wednesday, July 4, at 10 p.m.
The City of St. George has joined hands with SkyWest Airlines and 99.9 KONY FM to bring to St. George its largest, brightest, and most spectacular Fourth of July fireworks experience in the history of Southern Utah.
The St. George Fourth of July Celebration will make the most magnificent use of St. George’s unique natural theater. Fireworks will be launched from four separate sites, simultaneously, fully choreographed in a 21-minute marriage of music and patriotic narration broadcasting live over 99.9 KONY FM radio.
Local radio personality, Carl Lamar, will recount our great nation’s pride and prowess, interlaced in a full length soundtrack of music and song, swelling and surging in harmony with a panorama of pyrotechnics filling four quarters of the St. George sky.
Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, whoever you are with, whether on rooftops, playing in the park, walking the streets, entertaining or hosting a private evening at home, look up to the St. George night sky, tune your radios to 99.9 KONY FM, and you will be treated to the sights and sounds of this spectacular event.

And Please Please Please, people…. watch your pets… fireworks scare the heck out of them, if you can ..get some tranquilizers from your vet
We take our dogs out of town on the nights of the 4th and 24th. What do you do with your dogs?
I’m thinking a small town would attract a lot of visitors with out of doors, 9-11pm bluegrass or jazz fest for non-explosion oriented patriots.
Wussies. My dog loves it. And even if he didn’t I wouldn’t go out of town and ruin my families experience over it. Lol
Can’t wait! That’s a great idea Linda, my dog was so freaked out last year
An ostentatious event to boost the morale of the peasants, no doubt.
Really? I believe these celebrations and fireworks have been taking place for let’s say 235 years or so. Go out and enjoy!
Awesome, so…it’s gonna be almost like a Vegas-style fireworks show, only instead of shooting them off the hotels on the Strip, they’ll be shot off the hills and ridges around downtown??
