Bell 47 wildfire contained

BEAVER COUNTY – The Bell 47 Fire in Beaver County is now contained.

According to Mike Melton, a fire management officer with the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and Public Lands, the Bell 47 Fire is now 100 percent contained as of 7:15 p.m. Sunday.

The fire had reached up to 150 acres, but now stands at 62 acres with three engines and their fire crews dealing with the remainder of the blaze.

The fire started Saturday near Minersville Reservoir around 6 p.m. The cause is currently under investigation.

Some structured were threatened by the fire, but no damage has been reported.
