Names of plane crash victims released

ST. GEORGE – A press conference was held by St. George City officials this morning releasing the names of the four individuals involved in the plane crash discovered Saturday morning.

Colby Hafen, 28, Tanner Holt, 23, Jordan Chapman, 20, and Alex Metzger, 22, were the four people authorities have identified as the crash victims. Each is from Washington County. They are believed to have died on impact.

The crash involved a Cessna 172 single-engine aircraft. The cause behind the incident remains unknown as is being investigated by the authorities.

The National Transportation Safety Board will be holding a press conference concerning the plane crash at the St. George City Airport at 2 p.m., Sunday.
