Friends and family of a mother with stage four colon cancer are holding a concert and silent auction to raise funds for her treatment.

Liz Wilson of Hurricane was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer and it has metastasized to her liver and lungs. Wilson has the opportunity to receive treatment, but needs money to make a down payment on the treatment. Her family and friends have stepped in to help raise that money.

The event will take place on Thursday, May 24 at 7 pm at the Hurricane Fine Arts Center (92 South 100 West, Hurricane) and will include a concert, raffle, silent auction and bake sale.

The concert features many local performers, including The Force, Matt Abernathy, Eric Dodge, and John Houston and his Gospel Choir.

The silent auction and raffle include a guitar from Dan’s Guitar Repair, a ceiling fan from Electrical Wholesale, jewelry, gift certificates and more.

People who want to contribute for Wilson’s treatment but can’t come to the event can donate at any Zions Bank in the name of “Elizabeth Wilson Donation.” Donations can also be made online at Wilson’s online donation account.
