One dead in I-15 rollover Sunday

MOHAVE COUNTY, Ariz. – A vehicle rollover occurred Sunday afternoon and resulted in the death of an Arizonan man.

Officer Carrick Cook, a spokesman for the Arizona Department of Public Safety, said that at approximately 12:15 p.m., Sunday, an early-90s Range Rover was traveling southbound on I-15 and rolled at mile post 27, five miles south of St. George.

The driver, a 24-year-old female from Colorado, was injured in the rollover and was transported to UNLV Hospital in Las Vegas.

A passenger, a 43-year-old man from Phoenix, was ejected from the vehicle and later pronounced dead. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

Cook said the names of the victims were being withheld until their families were contacted.

    This is very sad, so sorry for the family. But my Gid, when, WHEN are people gonna learn to take just 2 seconds to put on their seatbelts?!!
