SANTA CLARA – Lightfoot’s is a part of a trio of businesses on Santa Clara Drive has recently transferred to the hands of two experienced entrepreneurs who promise to deliver the best of customer service.

The venture is comprised of Lightfoot’s of Santa Clara Convenience Store and Car WashRocky’s Rib Shack and a Chevron Station. Both the shop and restaurant are private companies, though Lightfoot’s does have a separately owned companion location in Ivins. Among the unique services offered are a fully automatic car wash, a walk-in “Beer Cave” and premium Chevron with Techron fuel.

A drive-through window, from which customers can quickly and easily purchase products from the convenience store, is expected to open in the coming months. The staff is also planning to hold a grand re-opening celebration sometime in May.

The new owners are Ivins residents Brad and Cyndi Pollmann. Originally from Pleasant Grove, Utah, the couple left their hometown six years ago to pursue employment opportunities. Their love of the St. George area led to their permanent relocation and the June 2010 foundation of their first business, B.T. Pearson Tires and Service. In December 2011, they expanded it to include Technaglass of St. George.

“The timing was right,” Cyndi Pollmann said concerning the decision to open a third business. We thought it would be a great opportunity.”

Brad Pollmann added:“We decided to purchase the whole thing because it is in the vein of our other two businesses. They all tie each other together. We’ve been sending people from the tire store to the gas station/car wash and vice versa.”

As young entrepreneurs – Brad Pollmann is 33 and Cyndi Pollmann is 32 – balancing business and family, the Pollmanns attribute their success to hard work and dedication. They also make it a point to involve their four sons – who range in age from three to 13 years old – in what they do. The brothers often assist their parents in cleaning the car wash and other property upkeep.

“It is a lot of work for us, but it will be beneficial in the end,” said Brad. “We just love this city. It’s a great place for both our family and our businesses.”
