HURRICANE – Because Animals Matter, also known as BAM, joined with the Washington County Council on Aging over a year ago to deliver cat and dog food to people receiving Meals on Wheels. By providing the pet food, those senior recipients of Meals on Wheels are spared sharing their own food with their pets.

The program has expanded once and is due to expand again in the near future.

KOW is effected and possible solely through donations of kibble and monetary donations for the purchase of pet food.

Help is needed now.

Donations of food can be dropped off at FX Lighting, 293 N 2260 W in Hurricane, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
