Roads to be affected by Half-Marathon and 5k race Saturday

ST. GEORGE – The St. George City Half Marathon Presented by Nordic Track will be passing through the morning of Jan. 21. This is a message from the City to inform you as to how this will impact the street you live on. The race will begin at the Dixie Convention Center at 9 a.m. There will be minimal impact to the entire route we travel on and there will be over 2500 runners so please.

The roads that will be impacted will be:

RIVERSIDE DRIVE will be closed from 270 E. to River Rd. from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Auto Detours will be posted and local business access will be available but limited in some cases to foot traffic for up to 30 minutes

RIVER ROAD: the right lane going south will be closed off from 8:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Local business will be available but limited in some cases to foot traffic for up to 30 minutes.

ST. JAMES LANE will be a one-way street from River Road to Point Drive from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Local traffic will need to follow the auto detour. There will be No street parking starting Friday night from River Road to Point Drive.

FT. PIERCE will be coned for a wide right shoulder for runners with two way traffic still available from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

BLOOMINGTON HILLS DRIVE will be coned for a wide right shoulder for runners with two way traffic still available from 9 a.m. to -12:30 p.m.

BRIGHAM ROAD will have the far right lane heading west closed from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
