
ST. GEORGE – The suspect in the alleged hit-and-run of a jogger in June 2011 appeared in court on Tuesday.
Marilu Angel, 22, made her initial appearance in 5th District Court on Jan. 3, to answer charges connected with the hit-and-run of 59-year-old Marva Cutler.
Angel is facing one count of failure to remain at the scene of an accident involving serious injury, a third-degree felony, and one count of failure to stay in one lane, a class C misdemeanor.
Cutler was out jogging the morning of June 21, 2011, when she was runover. She was life-flighted to University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nev. in critical condition. She has since returned to St. George and undergone multiple surgeries. (See previous story here)
Angel’s next court appearance is Jan. 23.
