ST. GEORGE – A St. George woman was arrested for multiple counts of forgery and theft on Dec. 14.

Capt. James Van Fleet of the St. George Police Department said the woman had allegedly stolen checks from a former employer and forged the victim’s name on the checks since July.

The woman’s former employer suspected her of stealing the checks, and notified the police after confirming their suspicions.

St. George Police arrested the woman on Wednesday, and she was booked into jail on 14 counts of forgery and theft.
