ST.GEORGE – A man crashed his van into a ravine, police reported Friday.

Capt. James Van Fleet of the St. George Police Department said a 55-year-old male traveling east bound on Snow Canyon Parkway jumped the curb and crashed his van into a ravine near 1400 W. around 12 p.m.

Early indicators point to the cause of the accident being an undisclosed medical condition, Van Fleet said.

Injuries sustained in the crash were non-life threatening and the man was treated by medics at the scene. He was then taken to Dixie Regional Medical Center for additional treatment.

The police are conducting a follow-up investigation into the accident.

The crash on Snow Canyon park way was a little bit different than you posted. It was a truck that was crashed. Also the driver had to be life flighted to Las Vegas because of head injury and a fractured back. He is fine now and home back here in St. G.
