ST. GEORGE – A 73-year-old Lindon man was arrested at a St. George hotel for lewdness in front of a child after video surveillance caught the man in a comprising situation.

Sgt. Al Gilman said a father and his son were in a swimming pool at the Comfort Inn yesterday evening when they allegedly witnessed a man disrobe at the hot tub without any clothes on.  Gilman said the man allegedly disrobed and got in the hot tub, and proceeded to pleasure himself.

Gilman said the man admitted that he left his swimming suit at home, but denied the other allegations. The hotel, however, is equipped with surveillance cameras. Gilman said officers retrieved the video and arrested the man on one count of lewdness.

Gilman said there was no indication that alcohol or drugs were a factor.

The man has since posted bail in the amount of $1,943.
