ST. GEORGE – The Dixie State College Choral Ensemble will open its 2011-12 concert season with the annual DSC Fall Choral Concert on Friday, Oct. 21, at 7:30 p.m., in the Dolores Doré Eccles Fine Arts Center Concert Hall.
The concert will feature five performance groups including: The debut of the new “Voce Vili” men’s club chorus; the DSC Chamber Singers and Vocal Jazz Project, both under the direction of Dr. Robert Briggs; the Women’s Chorus, directed by Merrilee Webb; and the Concert Choir, led by Dr. Ken Petersen.
The Choral Ensemble will perform many well-known and spirited numbers that showcase a wide array of music and genres.
Tickets are available at the door for $5 per person, with discounted rate of $1 for DSC students, faculty and staff.

Of particular note to those inclined towards fine arts, DSC is offering, for the fourth year in a row, a DSC Fine Arts “Season Pass” (excluding dance performances) for just $99. The season pass gives patrons access to all DSC theatre productions, instrumental and vocal concerts, for the 2011-12 season.
A seasonal “Theatre-only pass” is available for $42, while patrons may also purchase a seasonal “Music-Only pass” for $85.
