St. George municipal primary election results

ST. GEORGE – The municipal elections for 2011 include three city council positions. The primary election was held on Sept. 13, with the general election being held on Nov. 8. The results of the primary election are:

Gil Almquist 1766 (17.16%)
Ed Baca 1200 (11.66%)
J. Bryan Dial 333 (3.24%)
Tara Dunn 785 (7.63%)
Jimmie Hughes 1180 (11.47%)
Sam Laub 777 (7.55%)
Matt Mortenson 378 (3.67%)
Jon Pike 1889 (18.35%)
Gloria Shakespeare 1515 (14.72%)
DR Wall 469 (4.56%)

    Nice that the voting reflects the peoples idea of moving forward, reelecting the incumbents is sad indeed.

    Do the math its not as bad as you think, the (I) votes are about even with the newcomers total. Don’t give up so easy…change is still very possible.

    But that would require people to actually vote… And man, I think I’m all voted-out after this primary.
