ST. GEORGE – The St. George Police Department and Crime Stoppers are offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect(s) believed to be responsible for a pharmacy robbery that occurred at Smith’s Pharmacy, located at 20 North Bluff Street in St. George.
The cash reward is donated by pharmaceutical company Purdue Pharma L.P., which operates RxPATROL®, a collaborative effort between industry, pharmacists and law enforcement to collect, collate, analyze and disseminate information on pharmacy theft. “It’s important for people to know that all information that we get is kept completely confidential. Callers never have to give their names or appear in court. The Crime Stoppers tip line does not use any tape recording or caller ID devices,” said Crime Stoppers Chairman, Gene Ferrara.

Robbery details:
Date/Time: Thursday, August 18, 2011, approximately 6:18pm
Location: Smith’s Pharmacy, 20 North Bluff Street, St. George, Utah
Description of Events: Suspect entered the pharmacy through the front door, displayed a handgun and passed a note demanding controlled substances. The suspect fled out the front door after being given an undetermined amount of prescription medicines.
Suspect Description: The suspect is described as a white male 5’8” to 5’10” tall with a thin build. He wore black pants, a fisherman hat, surgical mask, long sleeve tee shirt with dark blue sleeves and white body. Law enforcement officials believe the same suspect is also responsible for three other robberies in the St. George area:
Aug. 15: Professional Park Pharmacy, 736 S 900 East Street, approx. 5:15pm
July 28: IHC Instacare Pharmacy, 577 South River Road, approx. 10:30am
July 22: Kmart Pharmacy, 745 South Bluff Street, approx. 12:45pm
