ST. GEORGE – Officers arrested a 34-year-old St. George man after a man called police saying he could hear an intruder breaking into his home.

On Sept. 8, officers responded to the area of 200 S and 200 E in St. George around 1a.m., when the resident heard the intruder in his garage. Capt. James Van Fleet said officers apprehended the suspect inside the garage.

The suspected was arrested for criminal mischief, trespassing, theft and burglary. The damage to the garage doors was estimated at $300, Van Fleet said. All stolen items were returned to the owner.
