NORTH SANPETE - The Snow Canyon Warriors (2-0) head to North Sanpete to take on the North Sanpete Hawks (1-2) at 7 p.m. The Warriors took advantage of the bye week and had a great week of practice. Coach Graft said, “I’m very pleased and I feel they really improved in the off week.”

The Warrior offense really got going in the 4th quarter of their last ball game. With the worst rushing attack in the region, all the pressure falls on quarterback Brayden Linde who has thrown the ball 56 times this season. Linde has completed over 50 percent of his passes this season, throwing for just under 185 yards per game. The rushing attack of Brandon McFarland and Mitch Phillips will be a focal point for the Warriors this week to try and keep Linde’s passing attempts down. There was some bad news in last week’s practice as punter and corner Chandler Gines broke his thumb and is out for the season. Gines leads the region in yards per punt and field position will be key as the Warriors look to get their first win.

The Hawks have not scored more then 14 points in a game yet this season and they have given up over 44 points in both losses. One of their biggest problems is the passing game; the Hawks have thrown six interceptions already this season.
