The Cedar Reds are in for a big challenge in week two. The Reds take on the defending 4A state champion Highland Rams.

Cedar is coming off a 33-0 loss against American Fork. Cedar only has one returning starter and their quarterback, John Ursua, transferred in from Westlake High School. Its going to be a rough few weeks for the Red’s, but it will help them going into Region 9 play.

Highland won there first game 44-14 and scored almost everyway possible. The Rams scored threw the air, on the ground, on defense with a fumble recovery that was taken 19 yards to the end zone, and a safety.

Cedar needs to improve on offense if they want to keep this one close. Last week, they only had 109 yards of total offense. Look for things to turn around with senior quarterback, John Ursua, and a head coach that has 20 plus years of coaching experience at Cedar.

Pat’s Pick: Highland over Cedar
