Dead Body Found in Washington City Hotel

WASHINGTON – A maid at the Red Cliffs Inn in Washington City discovered the body of a dead man when she went to work this morning.

According to witnesses on scene, the deceased male was staying in room number 220 and was in the area for an Andrus Transportation training.

The maid initially thought the male had passed out.  Upon further inspection, she realized the man had died and she went for help.

Ed Kantor, law enforcement division chief for Washington City Public Safety, said there were nothing suspicious in the hotel room to indicate that a crime had been committed. The man was later identified as Donald Goodwin, 47, out of Anaheim, Orange County, Calif.

Detectives will know more after a the medical examiner’s report has been conducted.
